Count me in for 5gal -- 10 if it's within my budget.

Do you have an estimate for the cost per gallon?

Either way, I'm definitely in for 5gal, but I'd like to make more if possible.

Big IPA?? Most if not all of the bourbon flavor should be gone by then, so why not some big hoppy thang??

Looks like we would have no problem doing a barrel #4 ...Humm IPA looks like it could be repeated be for it happens the first time 8) Either or an Alt would work well for me!

I'm as curious about the color and clarity of the beer that will come out of that barrel as I am the flavors... so far we've only seen the imperial stout, so we have no idea how much the charred interior of the barrel will affect color and clarity... should be interesting.

Can anybody with a little experience with barrels educate me?

Not that im experienced but as w/ most all brews aging @ clairity go hand in hand .The color might darken a bit ,i dont think much [anybodyagree w/ me on this one?] also it is a darker ipa . cheers

i could care less about clarity in a IIpA. The hops should make it cloudy just by that. As far a color goes, alot of the commercial IIpA's are fairly dark anyways.........and just being in the barrel may help clarity. And if your worried about previous beers tainting color, i wouldnt worry, your talking drops in a large vol. wont effect it.
