Saw a neat trick when I was studying xplants.

Buy a cheap plastic wrap or cling wrap and cut the plastic and paper tube to the thickness that you desire for the container.

This keeps the dish from breathing with the temperature changes and cuts down on contamination.

You can buy Parafilm for the same task but it will cost you.

Good tip Chris, will have to try it.

I use black electric tape for "sealing" my dishes. It is somewhat elastic and can handle changes in temperature and humidity well.

Nothing beat Parafilm, but it ain't cheap.
