Someone posted these on another forum. I like the fact they are stainless but that's it. These are a two handed operation vs the hydraulic quick disconnects from McMaster which are one handed. Price is about the same or higher on those cam locks that you linked too. If stainless is a must for you and cannot afford the stainless Qd's go ahead otherwise I prefer the hydraulic Qd's.

I have to agree with Andy (gee what am I saying?). The Hydraulic kind allows a one hand operation per side of connection. One hand on the female, while the other hand is on the male part (Bill, I am waiting). Unless both sides are affixed it would indeed be cumbersome, if not dangerous with hot liquids.

I was comparing the price to the SS QR that B3 has for sale. I could never seem to find the right ones at McMaster and I didn’t try that hard because I am all worried about using food grade stuff. I wonder what seals are in the McMaster’s?
So I am wondering if this cam style could be operated one handed.
The males will all be mounted. No reason to even touch those unless you want to. The females will be at the end of my hose and I will already have that in my hand, so the trick will be manipulating those two thingies on the female end while guiding the male end into place. I am thinking that I might be able to do that one handed. And if not, what is my other hand doing anyhow? I’ve never seen these coupler in person but would like to, so if anyone has these please let me know.
I would like to read more about these, which forum did you see them?

The hydraulic fittings are brass and have a silicone seal in them. They are rated for hi temp and pressures. Brass isnt a problem if your worried about food grade issues. I think the cam locks will work fine. They are not for me. I prefer a one hand operation. Ive used cam locks before a few times on the job and could never get it down as easy as the QD's. But if you never used a QD before and went straight to the cam lock then you may not really care much....

Used a lot of cam-lock connectors in my time but not brewing beer

The cam-lock works fine but is generally expensive. Sometimes, it is a pain to get both sides even to start the cam levers but once the levers are seated, there is a good seal.

Brass is not a problem since it can be pickle with vinegar, for that matter, stainless is also pickled. One needs to build the oxide layer. Either is a good.

Myself I like Tri's never wear out or leak. Takes two hand's but God gave us Two lol.

Of course a little one sided when it comes to Tri's

I had a feeling you'd be somewhat biased

With a bit of practices and a couple of surgeries that had my right hand in a sling, I was able to connect a tri with one hand.

I too love Tri's for what Swag said, plus they are just too sexy looking on your rig. It is like a nice set of chrome pipes on your bike...
