Lawrence Brewers Guild

I was curious where the cheapest place to exchange/refill in Lawrence is. I have a recent 20# blue rhino tank that probably only has one more boil in it. I've seen they're about $17 for refills at WallyWorld but I've heard rumors they don't fill up the full 20#. Does praxair do propane refills?

On a correlated note, how many boils do people generally get out of 20# tanks? I have a pretty high BTU burner that seems to eat propane even if I keep a pretty low boil.

Praxair has propane tanks and they give LBG members a discount. Same for C02 if you're kegging. I usually get roughly 3 boils, maybe 4. This is for 15 gallon batches which take a little bit longer to heat up.
