My Sacred HOP Tattoo! Got this done yesterday in Madison at Blue Lotus Tattoo. It was done by Dave Marshall, a true artist.

The flash kinda screws up the color in these, but you get the idea.

Ouch:

Wow, what the hell can you say to that! That is an incredible piece John. A true artist indeed-- Look forward to those colors being shown at Brewfest.

"Proud to be a brewer baby!"

Can you make it bleed permanently? That looked cool with blood oozing out of it.

that would be his super power. Coagulate Man and Bleeder Boy.

Seriously though, nice tattoo man. How long have you been planning that? Or was is a mead-moment? :?

Thanks for the comments all. Very little planning went into it. I had been wanting to get a brewing related tattoo for a while, but wasn't really in any hurry. I like the "old school" traditional American tattoo style, and I was browsing some Sacred Heart tattoos, when it just sorta hit me. Erin's good friend recommended the guy, I stopped in Friday and gave him some hop photos and the concept, he took it from there, and I went back on Friday to sit for four and a half hours.
