Sack of Briess Pilsen Malt for Sale

I have a sack of Briess Pilsen malt that I won't be getting around to using anytime soon. I got it on the last grain buy so it's fresh! If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

Shipping Kegs

I need to ship 4, 5 gallon kegs that will be filled with coffee from Lawrence to Southern CA. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might go about this and what might be the "cheapest yet reliable" method to do this? Any local freight companies that anyone knows about that specializes...

Re: Hop Cold Brew Coffee

Was also helping out with a Draught Cold Brew project over at Alchemy. It's available now. Basically it's cold brew pushed with nitrogen through a traditional nitro stout faucet. Kind of interesting what the nitrogen faucet does to the cold brew. Would be cool to get some homebrewers feedback on it ...

Re: Boulevard Limited Release - Foeder Projekt #1

Got to try this over at the Burger Stand. I thought it was well done, especially for the first go around in their Foeder. Looking forward to see how this projekt progresses!!!

Re: Hop Cold Brew Coffee

Glad you got to try it and appreciate the feedback. I have a hard time with figuring out exactly how to go about it since I love aggressively hopped beers and that may not be what people want in there coffee. Wait until you try the red ale I plan to bring on Thursday to the meeting! I did a side by ...

Hop Cold Brew Coffee

Looking to get some feedback on a project I've been helping out with over at Alchemy Coffee (19th and Mass). Our first batch of cold brewed coffee with hops is available and I'm looking to this group for some feedback. We used Simcoe this time around. There are two versions available right now with ...

Re: CO2 Tank Refill Locations

What are the advantages to refilling instead of swapping, aside from getting the same bottle back? How many extra lbs do you get in a propane refill? I asked the praxair guy to refill my tank instead of swap once and he gave me the stink eye and told me some excuse why he couldn't that day. So I ha...

Commercial Stainless Steel Pot Washing Sink for Sale

I have a barely used stainless steel commercial grade pot washing sink that I had in my garage back east. My new place in Lawrence has a nice garage to brew in, but it will be a bit too involved to get running water and drain pipe out there so it looks like I’ll need to sell the sink. I can take a f...

Re: CO2 Tank Refill Locations

HazyKnight - Thanks for the Cintas tip. They actually do fill CO2 tanks and they do it while you wait. They charged me just under $20 to fill a 10lb tank. They said a 5 lb tank would cost around $15. As far as propane goes, I found a Feed and Garden store in De Soto (right near my work) that fills t...

Re: CO2 Tank Refill Locations

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I may just have to suck it up and pass on my brand new tanks to Praxair. I have a 5 and 10 lb tank, their 10 lb tanks are pretty ancient looking which will make giving up the new one that much more difficult! It also seems like it's pretty difficult to find ...

CO2 Tank Refill Locations

I know this topic has been discussed before but I searched the forums and I don't seem to see the answer. I have a 5 and 10# CO2 tank. I just moved from PA to Lawrence and the moving company wouldn't ship my CO2 tanks so I found two brand new ones online for a good price. I wanted to have them fille...

Re: Introductions - Start here!

Hello everyone! My name is Tom Bastian and I joined the club in January. I'm in the process of relocation from the Philadelphia area to Lawrence and have been brewing for close to 10 years. I was very active in the brewing community in Philadelphia and hope to do the same out here. I keep a brewing ...
