i am not trying to remove mineral content, only chlorine. i also run a particulate filter in series after the carbon, as i have found that carbon filters sometimes leak carbon into the waterstream. the whole thing including the housings was a very small investment. the thing i find that some dont do...

0.5 micron

whole house filter, .5 micron carbon filter. slow rate of flow through filter as the more time the
water is in contact with the carbon, the better it works. i usually go about 1/2 gal per minute.
extract or all grain, same process.

i use a hop basket from arborfab.com. and a tee shaped bazooka on the valve.
very pleased with the results.

my last propane bill shows $14.66 plus fees and taxes. the fill is 17 lbs on a 20 lb tank (85% pov)
some of the other fillers dont put 17 lbs in their fills. its pretty close to rhino price but rhino doesnt
fill their tanks to 17#.

my work just got notice that Praxair prices on gas is going up 8/1, so i would expect everone is getting a price increase. i would encourage you to get your tanks filled prior to 8/1 if you can,
