Ordering hops, anyone interested in splits or what not.

#1 Post by Cozmo » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:26 pm

I am getting ready to buy some hops from hops direct and didn't know if anyone wanted to go in on anything to split shipping cost. I will order by the end of the week.

I am looking at:

Amarillo Hop Leaf
Centennial Leaf Hops
Fuggle (US) Leaf Hops
Northern Brewer (GR) Leaf Hops
Cascade Leaf Hops

Can one of you guys who's ordered from them before tell me how long it takes to get your order typically? I'm probably interested in getting in on some splits.

I want to brew as much as I can during Spring Break, but I'm doubtful that ordering from them will get them here in time. (Had planned on buying local, but getting more bang for my buck sounds good to me!)

I believe that I ordered on a Wednesday and had them the following Monday or Tuesday. Regular shipping. Brewed with the hops the following weekend.

5# of hops was $9.53 in shipping
Have Fun!

The shipping costs were only $12.01.

4 bones a piece, not bad for like 7 pounds of hops.
