3x 20# propane tanks. = $51.94
Also; this is an interesting read.

Personally; I've always thought I get more mileage out of a kirk/praxair tank than I do out of a Blue Rhino/Amerigas tank.

Refilled propane a Paxair Lawrence about three weeks ago for $18.12, all fees included, after showing LBG card. The guy mentioned, 'I can give you a little discount for that'. Cool.

Apparently we are not in the 'system'. Not even sure if they are tracking usage. If so, a newer guy did not recognize the Guild's card or name or how to look it up. Was charged full rate, came to $21.70 total.

Stopped by Lawrence location today. Told him I was from LBG. Two #20 tanks filled for $37 and change. Maybe we could start a secret handshake.

Just filled at Lawrence Praxair, told them with LBG.
two bbq propane each: $22.72 = 8%tax
one 5lb co2 cyl: $14.52 + 8%tax
Plus there was a haz material charge $7.45 + 8%tax
Talk about taking it up the old gas hole. $73 for three items!!!...
I am shopping around...

Also filled at Praxair 2/12
CO2 - 5 (gal?), 19 lb - $14.52
LP, BBQ size 17 gal - $17.00
1 Hazmat fee (presumably for LP) - 4.73
Tax - $2.85
Total 39.10
Didn't mention anything about LBG.
What I've noticed is that the LP is really not cheaper than anywhere else. $21.73 (+tax) which is basically the price at most LP swop locations. CO2 - what other options are there? I go to Praxair because it is less than 1/2 mile from my house.

11FEB2001
Praxair, Lenexa KS
5 lb CO2 = $11.93
20 lb CO2 = $22.59
Hazmat fee (what the !@#$

is that?...it is CO2!!!!) = $5.18
Tax = $3.19
Total for a 5# and 20# tank = $42.89

Oh, I also asked, "Fine Sir, do you give a discount for LBG membership?"
Salesman, "The What???"
So Praxair in Lenexa does not give a discount (no big shock there)
Rob don't know what the 19 is (compressed liters?) but....if you were to take 5lb of CO2 and let it out of the bottle...
5 pounds of CO2 will yield 42.95 cubic feet (1216.2 liters) of gas

I don't remember what I'm paying a Keller Fire and Safety but it's a lot less for CO2.
That propane is a killer, you guys must grill a lot

I guess I look at it different. Its like food or gasoline I can complain all I want and it don't make a bit of difference on the price paid. I need food and If I want to go somewhere I need gas or walk (too old for that). The same with my beer and welding I need gas to serve or gas to weld. So I pay what the man asks. I purchase all my gas from him and he wants my business. And its not like I could go somewhere else, there is not too many left in KC. Want to save money on Co2 buy a K tank and do your own transfers to smaller tanks. But remember while your doing that your time is worth something and there is a equipment out lay.

Actually I thought the co2 was reasonable, but when I can walk 50 feet from work and trade-in a BBQ propane tank for a Blue Rhino--- for $3 cheaper...
