Actually, Ace Hardware sells a sump pump without a float switch, and the garden hose fitting is right smack in the middle of the housing (the one I used at the seminar) for super easy plumbing. Add a $12 foot switch from Harbor Freight and you are absolute golden. Oh yeah, and it is 1/6hp which is PLENTY ponies under the hood!
