Lawrence Brewers Guild

I had a short conversation with Jeff at Praxair. They are setting up an account for us, but their new system at Praxair doesn't make it easy. It's built around the premise of a one to one relationship between a person and an account. LBG is a many to one relationship, and their system doesn't know how to enter it.

That said, it think there is some corporate policy stuff in there also.

I personally go there because Jeff is very supportive, and because he does like good beer. Mostly on the light end, sessionable stuff.

The other guy that works in the Lawrence office has massively overcharged me a couple of times, but I tend not to rock the boat on it considering the times a discount is offered.

Ever since the whole Praxair buyout, things are very corporate and less hometown. So it goes.

I just filled a 10# tank at the Lawrence Praxair, total with guild discount and tax 12.63.

Hmmm, wonder who Ace knows....

I just exchanged a 5# CO2. $18.01 altogether. I mentioned LBG, showed my card, the guy nodded. Invoice says "Preferred Customer Cash Acct" at the top.

Actually, I've got a small tank, bet its a 5#

I just got a 20# siphon tank of CO2 today for $17.76 (good year!)
at the Paxair in Lawrence.

(in the future, i might be able to fill small tanks for a nominal fee...)

That is good for propane. Haven't had one refilled.

There may be some spot price variance. 2-3 weeks ago mine with card in Lawrence was 16.34 for a 17# exchange.

Praxair in Lawrence, update for yesterday, 9/20/2011:

5/19.0 CO2: $11.98
HazMat: $3.95
Tax: $1.41
Total: $17.34

Showed the card, receipt says "Lawrence Brewers Guild" for name.
Gas was cheaper than last year; hazmat and taxes have gone up.
