Need help with a commercial keg...

A friend of mine gave me a commercial keg, with sankey tap. It is in pretty good condition. My question is this: How (if at all) can I open up this keg, to reuse for my home brew? Am I better off using this for something else? I have a refrigerator that will fit this keg easily, so that's not a problem. I just need to see what adapters, etc. I need to make it work like a corny keg.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Many of us use Cornelius (Soda Pop) Kegs, there are a few that use the Sanke style (I think Philip is one). Keep an eye out for his posts.

Is it a 15 gallon keg? Or a smaller 5 gallon?

This is a 15 gallon keg, formerly from budweiser.

There is information on line including this:

Looks like it would be pretty easy to modify one so that it is ball lock, but I guess if you have the tap as well, it would be easier to just be able to use it as is. The difficulty that I see would be getting it clean enough, since there are no large openings. Modifiing it to have a ball lock type opening would make it much easier to clean.
