Worth Brewing was mentioned in the article. I found their site very interesting. They sell beer in the very small town of Northwood, IA by making 10 gal batches.

There are two breweries in KS that are essentially home brew set ups that the brewers have gotten licensing for.
Hank is Wiser is in Cheney, KS. This is the only KS brewery that I have not been to. I plan to get there someday and will post a review when I do.

Mo's Brewery in Beaver KS is south of I70 near Lucas, KS. I have been to this brewery and the guy seems to know what he is doing. Beers are good, but nothing too exciting. I suppose he has to brew for the tastes of the locals. Food is good bar or small town restaurant food.
I doubt that these guys are getting rich, but they have found a way to brew for a living without huge set up costs.

Does anyone know of any nanobreweries like this in western MO, particular NW MO? Or Eastern NE, or Western IA?

Any one know the hoop that you have to jump throught and the costs to register as a nano-brewry?

We went there last March. Sabco fermenters and serving from cornies. They brew on the stove that was there when it was a restaurant. The Dad was there, nice guy. They had about 4 - 5 beers - decent stuff. And plenty of other nice commercial stuff. No food, wear your overalls.... Cash only.

I would go back anytime. It's only a short drive from SW Wichita.
