Brewing Soda
Anyone have experience brewing soda? I'm thinking of trying my hand at this. Root beer, ginger ale, and tonic water are on my brewing calendar...

I've done 6-7 batches now. Usually 4 gallon amounts in a 5 gallon keg.
What do you wanna know?

Re: Brewing Soda
Any tips?
What is the process you go through?
What have you tried to make?
Seems like it should be easy. I'm getting ready to do a keg of Root Beer.

I've done a couple of keg batches of root beer and bottled one batch. Will never bottle a batch again (kaboom!). Pretty much follow instructions when you buy the flavoring / syrup. Mix it up, keg, carbonate.

Re: Brewing Soda
We made a hopped root beer (not pop). Believe me it was ALL Nate's idea! But really it is not bad. He will have to give you the particular's, but I think it has Sassafras and other traditional root beer ingredients. If I remember it was about 1.050 wort. Not for kids, but fun nonetheless. It was second runnings from a barleywine we made with all Munich malt.
