Vinegar

#1 Post by klickcue » Sun Jan 30, 2011 6:53 am

Some of you sampled my Duss Alt malt vinegar the other night.

The question was asked as to how old it was - 6/22/2010.

Since I just kegged 10 gallons of Duss Alt this morning, the rest of the finished vinegar was transferred to a container and the jug was refilled with fresh Alt.
Have Fun!

Had to read that one twice... Thought on first read that you kegged 10 gal of vinegar

Not that 10 gal of vinegar would be a bad thing either! :bounce:

It is always nice too see everyone!

We had some excellent discussions at my end of the table.

I was able to get 2 Porters before the keg was gone. Really enjoyed the Porter. Then I had a great IPA (wish mine tasted as good!). The keg of Porter was gone in an hour!

We have some really great people in the guild and it is always an honor to be in their presents.

Lee is going to try and carry on the vinegar at his place, so I hope that he has some good luck. It took about 5 or 6 tries to get a bug that I liked in the vinegar. I enjoy the flavor!

Cheri (my wife) had a really good time and remembers the people from Andy and Kim's Summer charity. By the way, she likes the people at LBG :P
Have Fun!

The vinegar is really awesome. I plan to make a gallon stove top batch just to propagate the vinegar. I like the idea of using an alt yeast, I think that's what I'll do. Was great to see so many LBG members friday,we have a great group of folks in this club
