Totally bummed that I missed yesterday's (October) meeting. A website crisis came up and took the whole damn night from fun to frustrating. I was stoked for it too, because I had not one but two samples of homebrew to bring (and yes, it's been way too long).
Just wondered if anyone took minutes, so I could see what I missed out on?

I am sure Steve will be getting them up shortly, I have video of the tasting rendered that will be up by the morning.

I'll get them up tomorrow/Monday sometime. Nothing too time-critical, except for the Manhattan Octoberfest - *today* if you want to go. Info online.
Meantime, I can strongly recommend the **outstanding** Belgian Meuse Dark Barrel-Aged beer at 23rd Street. Good enough for this hophead! (And it's not a stereotypical hop-headed selection, of course.) They also have an English-style IPA which is fairly tasty. Frankly, save the gas and time in favor of those options. Also, Free State has a Saison that's bright and refreshing; also Chinook in the Hop Jack. (I think that Chinook will appease the die-hard Simcoe fans. A few commented on my oatmeal IPA that they liked the Simcoe in it; not simcoe, rather - Chinook/Centennial with Amarillo/Citra finish!)

Thanks for the update Steve!
Darn, I would have loved to go to the Manhattan Octoberfest. Totally spaced that! :( Did we organize a bus or anything?

Nope, no bus. I wonder if anyone from the guild went (please write a review). I was in Manhattan, but didn't go.
