That is the glory of this whole thing. With seperate brews no one person is limited by the ideas of the majority. You can oak at whatever level you want. Do not feel obligated to do it exactly as we are. Just remember the oak is going into primary and will only be in there a couple of weeks max. If it still needs more it can always be added in secondary. No harm no foul.
Now i see, when its your turn to haul over a few measly fermentors you cant play the game, but leave it to jarrell and i to haul 2 truck loads of heavy rigs and equipment the first time w/o a single help from none of you guys loading back up, and of course the second time, well we will just haul our stuff over once again. And why i ask? For the good of the club and most importanly to make sure things happen for the group. Id think you would have more control of the oak in secondary, then you wouldnt have to worry about your airlock either.Snowman wrote:

Frst of all, Andy I dont tell you when I m coming to your house and what im picking up! So dont try that w/ me.Call me like id call you.
The game you R talking about, you know "haulin messy fermenters" bla bla me making my own decisions for my best interests bla bla .Is B/S ,Ive got 2 club members brewing here w/ us .One of which has never all grained. So dont try tellin me about my group/club efforts.
Mabey you two should try a little les drinky drinky w/ you R typing . Just a thought.
Basicly the way it is is that ,
WE all do the same recipe ,same ingredient same yeast ,all of which i have not only spent my time but my cash geting, then we ferment our own little special way and have a tasting of our end results.
Not as Hard headed "Idid this ,I did that", but a experiment w/ several outcomes .
About the oak in primary,thats the wholepart of this is seein how much comes out in primary, I agree about the whole controlin secondary,you can take samples and decide when to pull the oak.
For those that have done a wine kit w/ oak in primary thats where im at.
John i thought you told me at your house that you were out and to give Joe your spot, so I did.
The clubs 5 g. was for brewfest ,that did not happen so Tom C is now in .
Any way im done here and am going to go celebrate my new raise.
