good price on propane burner and stand

#1 Post by Bill » Wed Mar 21, 2007 2:38 pm

Not for sale my me, but blktre has posted before that Agri-Supply is a good source of burners, but they also have a pretty good deal in a stand/burner set up. Comes with a 170k btu cast-iron burner, 22" stand (may need to be adjusted to fit a keg), hose and regulator for $25.

Agri Supply Cooker Stand

I'll let you know if a keg fits after it ships. I keep saying I need to learn how ot use that welder, one of these days I'm going to have no choice.
Thanks!

I forgot to post back, but the keg fits on the ring. All is good. The stand looks fine, but I think it could be built a bit more sturdy. Guess I'll see when I put 13 gallons of wort on it next week.
Thanks!

Bill --

What were your results when you used your new burner? I'm going to be using 15 gal kegs also, so I'm really looking for some good but cheap solutions that work well with kegs.

What were the BTUs on the burner you mentioned? Also, I didn't see anything matching your description in their online catalog. Do you have a model number or something I can look up, or a URL directly to the product you chose?

Thanks!
Matt

The stand still seems a bit week, but it has no problem holding the weight of my 13 gallon keg filled to the top with water. I'm still probably going to put some sort of a cross brace on it. Better safe than sorry.

As for finding it on their web site, I can't find them any more either. You may want to give them a call, they are very helpful over the phone. They'll answer pretty much any question you may have about a product.
Thanks!
