Read the comments...Interesting to say the least! Glad to see them taking the opportunity to better them selves. Past that I'd say the original almost always is the best in any expansion, if not it's there fault for not keeping up the same as always or being out done by the next. I'll be glad to have one closer but will always look as Lawrence as the Holy Grail of brew pubs in KS! As to talk about expansion to MO I doubt it as they could have done this at any point I think...It's the KS laws that have change not fed or MO? Just my .02?

I talked to one of the managers yesterday and she said that the Urinal World made up the story. The only expansion Free State is looking at is to someday open a packaging facility and not another brewpub.

It could have just been a missunderstanding. As the law is written now, brew must be bottled at the manufacture site, and you may only have one brewing location. If the new law passes it will allow maufactures with micro brewers or farm winery licenses to have multiple mnufacturing facilities. This would allow FSB to open a new manufacturing facility for brewing/bottling, or a new brewpub.
Cheers!

This seems more logical. It also seems that they already have the space to start bottling which they have always wanted to do. Ive seen their bottling line, they should be able to crank em out as long as it doesnt break down all the time!!Greenblood wrote:It could have just been a missunderstanding. 3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.
4. When a "Double IPA" just is not enough

I seen their brewing space. Got no idea where they would put a bottling line. Maybe they could close the Beer Hall!Blktre wrote:This seems more logical. From what i understand, its in an adjacent building. The bottling line is in their storage space.

Is there ever a real truth in the media ?
NO! I have been involved in several interviews where the final print isn't exactly what was said, at least by me or those I heard give testimony. When the fabrications are printed they bait the interviewies to rebut, adding to the story. Who cares if the story sells??? BTW, we have beer in Lawrence! Ya!!!
