Volunteer brewers needed for April 17 tasting, Ottawa

#1 Post by barnyardbrewer » Tue Apr 07, 2009 10:10 pm

Hello brewers. We are Heath and Mike from Barnyard Brewing and we were planning to come to your meeting Thursday and introduce ourselves to those of you who we haven't met yet, but it's not in the cards, we both have to work. Hopefully next month. Thanks to all of you that came to our tasting in March.

We are providing beer to an April 17 beer and wine tasting with the Ottawa Main Street Association in Ottawa, KS. This is an annual event, normally without beer, that was attended by several state senators last year. They will have several Kansas and Missouri wineries but we will be the only beer there. They had over a hundred people last year. We suggested making it a showcase of Kansas homebrew and they were thrilled at the idea. We would like to find 5 homebrewers who could each contribute one five-gallon keg of beer to show off. We will be bringing Irish Red and Porter. If you can attend the event you will be able to sample the wine and talk up homebrew all at once (and maybe tell some politicians how wrong they are). Who knows, this could be the start of an annual homebrew event. If you are interested then email us at barnyardbeer@gmail.com

Please visit our website www.barnyardbeer.com which was expertly designed by LBG member Matt Bechtold. We would love to hear your comments and maybe arrange a tour of our Barn and homebrewing contraption in the spring.

Why does the spell check think 'homebrew' isn't a word?
Cheers!
Heath and Mike
