May meeting this Thursday.
I should be able to make it to my first one and look forward to meeting you all. Since I am not actually brewing yet, what should I bring?

Re: May meeting this Thursday.
Welcome!
Good question. Usually people bring some beer. This month, however, the seminar is on wine-making, so there's been some talk on the boards of people bringing wine. Other popular contributions are meads, hard ciders, etc.
In addition to bringing some beverage every month, food is usually welcome. I think the general guideline is that people born in even-numbered months bring munchies in even-numbered months; so, this month it would be people born in odd-numbered months. But it's not like people won't let you in the door if you bring extra food.
Oh, and a glass, too. There are some available at the fellowship hall - you're responsible for washing it afterward, and leaving it there, etc., if you use one. And a bottle opener. Not like there won't be someone there with one, but I usually forget since I need one for my keychain.

Most people bring some commercial beer if they don't have any homebrew available. As Steve said, if you are so inclined, you are also welcome to bring in something to munch on as well.
We're looking forward to seeing you Thursday!

Unfortunately I have a conflict now and won't be able to make it. Next month then....
