Last weekend Lee was over and asked me what I had in some of my bulk aging carboys. One of the things on the list was a disappointing cider from 2004 that I have been too lazy to dump out. Last night I pulled the stopper on that carboy dated September 25th 2004. I was still too lazy to dump it, but thought I'd pull off a sample since it had been well over a year since my last taste. It seems my laziness paid off. It's pretty damn good. Nothing amazing, but good. It could be my low expectations mixed with my inability to taste much due to being sick, but I found it to be very pleasant. I had Erin give it a try and she really liked it.
I plan to keg and force carbonate the cider this weekend. Then I plan to bottle it in 750ml mock champagne bottles which I happen to have lying around.
I need a bottle filler. Does anybody own a beer gun or CP bottle filler that I can borrow one day next week?
May I borrow your Beergun or CP bottle filler?

Id loan ya my BG except my stupid little black rubber stopper is in a jug. I gave the jug to my BIL with it known that he fishes out my stupid little black rubber stopper when he is done with it. Please don't get me started on this fine $80.00 piece of brewing marvel.
Just call me Andy!

1. When a once extraordinarily hoppy beer now seems pedestrian.
2. The phenomenon a person has when craving more bitterness in beer.
3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.
4. When a "Double IPA" just is not enough

Thanks Chris! I have used one before, and I'll take good care of it. The cider is carbonating now. Maybe I can get it from you on Sunday or Monday?
Cheers!
