Do you have the Octobeer issue of BYO yet? Check out the article on page 72. Congratulations Joe and Nate.

Lupulin Threshold Shift
lupulin threshold shift \lu·pu·lin thresh·old shift\ n
1. When a once extraordinarily hoppy beer now seems pedestrian.
2. The phenomenon a person has when craving more bitterness in beer.
3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.

I hope not!! At least not the fermented in a pumpkin experiment, that stuff was heinous!! The mashed in a pumpkin fermented in glass experiment was not too bad, though.

Keep your eyes open for next months Mother Earth News. Nate has another article in there that is actually a pretty good set of instructions for a first partial mash brew! I've seen the article, but I don't think it is out or online yet. I'll post a link when it is.

Those were fictionalizations (euphemism for filthy lies). Megan pretty typically takes my Great ideas -- and the lotsa beers before them -- in stride.

The Mother Earth News article Joe mentioned is here.
