Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But there will no longer be a strong ale fest in parkville. Powerplant shut their doors for good yesterday. They didn't give any notice at all. The drinking options here in parkville are looking pretty slim.

I think it's been in the making for a while. It was nothing to do with the beer. They just couldn't get enough business to keep up and money is getting tight.

Bad news! I just went to the PowerPlant for the first time two weeks ago and was looking forward to going back!

I suppose this might also mean the end of the Parkville Microfest held just across the track from the Power Plant every April. This year my favorite beer there was a DIPA from Power Plant called "A beer named Sue".
