How many of you like foam (head) on a beer?
Personally, I do not care about the head, the lacing down the glass or anything else that pertains to the head of foam on a beer.
I drink a beer like a glass of tea. Does it taste good? Does it have an after taste that is not agreeable. Would I like to drink an extra pint?
The carbonic acid has a lot to do with the taste and if over done can create a bitterness that is undesirable and not pleasing at all.
Do you like a full pint of beer or do you like foam?
Weigh in on this, since this place is slow. But, of course, I follow my own path and do what I want to do anyway; which is what a home brewer should do anyway.

Depends on the beer for me. On my english styles, I like a tight dense white or off white head and lots of lacing as I drink. Maybe 1/2 a finger in head thinkness.
For my pales and IPAs, I like a 1-2 finger of head, loose and larger bubbles. I think this brings out the hoppiness.
Wheats should have a fizzy head to me, but I don't brew them that much.

Head and bubbles are an important part of the enjoyment experience. No head and flat is how I find the dregs of a pint the next morning. You will be judged down in any competition for flat lifeless beer. Even big beers like barley wine, stout, and wee heavy need some. Whew, got through that one without saying anything suggestive.

Yeah, it was a tough decision to finally come and see you Chris. Hell, I don't think I've seen you for what, 3 or 4 years? Has it really been that long?klickcue wrote:That great! Had to liven up the show![]()
Now, anyone else want to add to the conversation?
One of the officers has graciously agree to stop by my place and pick up some brew and drag it to the meeting.
I'm sure your brew will be enjoyed by those that taste it, and trust me, if there are any flaws, we'll let you know. In a constructive way, of course
Thanks!

Bill,
I have not shown my evil face in public for 3 years (maybe 4?) this next February so I am guessing that it has been 4 years since I have seen you.
I wave at your Mom on occasion.
Still have the Joss with the sanded down / filled dent?
I just hope that I do not poison you all
Anyway, thanks for being the messenger.
Even if my brew is bad, you will feel the pain
I am now in a hurry.
