Homemade Copper Bottle Washer:

#1 Post by Jdl973 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:42 pm

This was the weekend to give my first swing at bottling beer. The first task (and crappiest of the whole day)...washing bottles.

I had made a larger carboy washer to knock off the big chunks before putting them on the keg washer, so I just "downsized" the design.

Drilled a very small hole in the tip of the wand and on each side. This turns the wand into a very high pressure washer.

Made the wand height to fit champagne (750 ml) and beer (350 ml) bottles.

Put a house quick connect which hooks up to the hot water tap. Made bottle cleaning much more efficient.

Total build cost was about $25.
