Bug Types

I think that it important that People of the Guild have an idea what we are talking with bug names:

Brett:
cheesy, leather, cherry, urinal, pineapple, sweaty, horse blanket, barnyard
Brettanomyces Anomalus
Brettanomyces Bruxellensis
Brettanomyces Claussenii
Brettanomyces Lambicus

Lacto:
Lactic acid - sour
Lactobacillus Acidophilus
Lactobacillus Delbrueckii
Lactobacillus Delbrueckii sp bulgaricus

Pedio:
Lactic acid - sour - diacetyl producer (butterscotch - buttery flavor)
Pediococcus Cerevisiae

Malo-Lactic:
Lactic acid - sour - converts maltic acid to lactic acid - fruit beer
Oenococcus Oeni

Vinegar:
Acetic acid - sour
Acetobacter

This is a start and other people can add to it with better definitions.

I have all the above but one plus others that are not beer related.
Have Fun!

Chris
