Yeast up close

Just got the microscope up and running

Here is yeast at 200X

The lines are for cell counting

Here at 400X

Here is some background mold in my basement

Suspended in distilled water at 400X

Will use this to get a cell count, contamination verification and viability of my yeast starters. I also have a gram negative stain kit I will test next to help resolve the cells better.

I like your hemacytometer picture.

It would be interesting to see the difference with single and double strength wort starter solutions now.
