Is there a substitute for honey malt

#1 Post by Bill » Fri Dec 29, 2006 11:48 am

I found a recipe I'd love to try, but it calls for honey malt. A&V doesn't carry it nor do I have any and MCM also didn't carry it. I've googled "honey malt sub" and didn't really come up w/ any answers except for a single hit saying to use CaraVienna in its place. I don't have any CaraVienna either, but I have CaraMunich, Vienna and CaraStan.

Any suggestions on a good replacement for honey malt?
Thanks!

I got a reply back from the BrewBoard saying to use CaraStan Light.
Anyone agree?
Thanks!
