The building next to 75th St. is on fir this morning (Friday) but it appears the firewall between the bar and bakery on Washington and the brewery is holding. No doubt there will be some smoke damage.
Worst of all, there are a couple of firemen in the burn unit at KU. It appears the truss roof failed, which is something they warn us to watch for.

75th St. Brewery threatened
Usque ad Hilaritatem
From what we heard, they entered upon arrival and got caught in a flashover, a firefighters worse nitemare. I also heard they bailed out windows. Im glad they werent hurt worse or killed.
I was onduty watching the fire on tv and on the phone w/ Matt at 23rd trying to get more info. of 75th. Looks like a breach in the firewall caused smoke and water damage. A total loss on on the beer, but equipment will need a total chemical. It will be months before beer is available again. Im thinking 23rd will be picking up as much slack as they can on the distribution end...
Hey Florian, i ment to ask, you get in on the chemical plant fire a week ago down in the bottoms?
