Extracting the extract kind of question

When your kit has syrup extract, is there any nifty little trick to get the max
possible syrup from the container to the kettle? Seems an obvious solution
might ne to heat the extract - but how? In the sun? Microwave? I thought
about actually dipping the empty jug into the wort, but then there's the jug
label and label glue and stuff. I mean, it seems I'm leaving a point or two of
OG in those containers, and that's simply not acceptable. Or I'm just
obsessing which I'm okay with. :D

Hey, I used to soak them un opened in hot water for awhile B4 use. Pours like warm syrup! Then use a sanitized spatula to dig out the rest of the goodies. cheers Shane

When figuring up your water, reserve a quart and heat it in a tea kettle or on the stove in a separate pot. After adding your liquid malt extract, pour the hot water into the extract can and stir it until all the LME dissolves. Pour the can into the pot with the rest of the water and extract and stir to incorporate.
