Keg buy

#1 Post by Blktre » Sat Nov 17, 2007 11:07 am

Ed over at ZZ Hops contacted me and says he has a bulk keg deal. Ball lock corny kegs are $20 if we can get 60 kegs ordered. He said the kegs seem decent, clean, and hold pressure. He also noted that the more kegs ordered, the cheaper they are. There are some guys over at ZZ Hops that can help fill the order. So if anybody is interested in buying kegs, this is a great deal....sign up here........

I'll take at least one... maybe two or three, depending on how much disposable income I have when this goes down.

But definitely at least one.

Bulk Keg Buy

#3 Post by ed.beerman » Sat Nov 17, 2007 4:43 pm

Guy's, let me verify a few things with the keg seller first.

Right now, it looks like $21.50 a keg including shipping on 50 + kegs ordered. What we are looking to do is to get the price down to a flat $20 delivered, but not guaranteed at this point.

I figure we need to get the quantity we need first (themore the better), before asking for the price reduction.

Any questions, feel free to call me @ 816-524-6405 if you want.

There was another lot of 25 kegs on ebay, and I went ahead and bid on them.

I hope they will be here by the next meeting.

The bulk keg buy that I had interest in putting on is not going much of anywhere as we need 50 - 70 spoken for.

In the mean time, I would be interested in some from that mentioned pallet. Let me know if I can get my hands on some of those.

Kegs are here.. And right now riding around in the back of my car.

Price is $22 each. Payment to the guild via your good check.

I really, REALLY don't want to have to deal with cash like last time. Frankly it's a pain to keep everything written down and accurate. A check negates this need.

I work in North Lawrence, live south of Lawrence, and can be reached by email (cyburai at gmail dot com) or by cell 785-979-4864.

FYI; in case the kegs sell out..

I recieved the newsletter this morning and Northern brewer is having a used corny keg sale. If you buy 4 kegs with shipping your under $90.

Just a heads up...

Another tip... just in case.

http://www.homebrewing.org/5-Gallon-Cor ... 21-70.html

They've got kegs for 19.99 each, and the shipping is OK. Not great, but reasonable.

I've used this company before and would recommend them. Great service, good packing practices, etc.

FYI 10 kegs are left. And of those, 6 have been requested by people.

I need some kegs. If I can get 2-3 ball lock kegs, I'm in.
