anyone need more kegs???

#1 Post by Pissytiffy » Mon Sep 15, 2008 7:06 pm

I received an email this week offering 5% off $100 from CHI Company orders before 9/28/08. CHI is the place we ordered 20 kegs earlier this summer and while we could use a few more kegs, we don't need 20.

If you are in the market for one or more ball lock kegs, please let me know.

These would NOT arrive before Brewfest. The 20-keg bundle is $420. Earlier this summer shipping was $175 making the cost per keg around $30. They also sell a full replacement gasket kit (optional) for $2.25 each. They also offer 12- and 8- keg bundles but the per unit cost is a bit more.

Dang, remember the days we could buy kegs all day long for $15-16? The reason keg prices are high and they wont come down is because SS is up and kegs are headed to other countries, China in particular. So demand is high. And once their gone, their gone....Id advise as many folks to jump on as many as you can while you can.....

Great! I'll place the order tonight and let you all know once they arrive.

Clint and I - are really only looking for 5-6 kegs, so if anyone wants 1-2 just let me know.

Xan, Is my math right $21/ea + shipping? If so I'll take the last 1-2.

Yes, but shipping was the same as the last order ($174.74). Even with the 5% coupon, that makes a per keg cost of $29.05. If you are still interested, I can put your name on one.

According to the UPS tracking info, I expect the kegs to arrive next week on the 24th.

Kegs arrived yesterday!! Cost is $29.05/each. I don't really want to haul these out to BrewFest, but will be around the house (700 Ohio) on Friday morning if anyone is eager to pick up their keg(s).
