Officer Nominations for 2008
It's that time of year again.
Don't we vote for officers in January?
Joe and I are at term limit. John, Bill and Dale are can still do another year. (I think).
Anyhow, just to get the discussion going.

Is this going to be a blind vote where everyone votes for who they want, or are some people actually going to be throwing their hat in the ring?
My hat is still in the ring from when Sean threw it in there last year, so I'll leave it there for Secretary.
anyone else going to bid for a position?

I am willing to act as Vice for another year unless someone else would like to have a go. I am a little concerned about how quiet it has been around here. Is anybody planning to make a nomination, or step up and nominate themselves? A year without a president or a treasurer could prove to be frustrating/challenging/annoying.
Cheers!

I think Chuck Ferguson would be a great choice for president. He has been involved and very active in the LBG for years. His profession has put him in front of people giving seminars for years, a good skill to have-- and besides, he is retired. The poor man needs a purpose in life!
I nominate Chuck Ferguson!!!!!!!

That is disappointing. Tastings this year were excellent, and well organized. Not trying to make you feel bad, but you should know that you did an excellent job this past year, and I for one would welcome having you for another year..Dale Wheeler wrote:I prefer to not to be Biermeister for a second term.

Chuck? Any response?
Maybe we should push this back a month or two and rethink the time of year we are voting for our officers. Around the holidays is a hectic time for everyone, not to mention the fact we haven't had a meeting to discuss this in-depth.
I would like to see at least one meeting before we do some voting.
Anyone second?
::EDIT::
I think one meeting would allow us to get the people that don't use the boards, or at least get the word out a bit more.
Thanks!

Good idea....since theres no Dec. meeting and having the officer nominations on the Jan. agenda for a Feb. vote isn't a bad idea....::EDIT::

Just call me Andy!
Lupulin Threshold Shift
lupulin threshold shift \lu·pu·lin thresh·old shift\ n
1. When a once extraordinarily hoppy beer now seems pedestrian.
2. The phenomenon a person has when craving more bitterness in beer.
3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.
4. When a "Double IPA" just is not enough

Treasurer nomination
I would like to nominate Xan for treasurer. She did an excellent job at the door at brewfest. I am sure that she would be responsible and effective as the club treasurer.
